The Barleycorn Inn is a charming 18th century coaching inn situated in Collingbourne Kingston; a small village nestled in the Bourne Valley in Wiltshire between Marlborough and Salisbury. Our pub is the beating heart of the community, and has been for over 200 years. The proprietors, Tom & Terry, provide an excellent menu of classic pub fare sourcing all foods locally, a wide choice of Ales, Larger, Wine, Spirits and soft drinks is available with guest beers changing on a weekly basis and a boutique B&B with five contemporary en suite rooms, all furnished to a high standard.
The Barleycorn Inn is a Brakspear pub. The building itself is protected by Covenant. The Covenant ensures that the Barleycorn Inn may only ever be used as an Inn. This ensures that the Barleycorn will remain at the heart of the village community, never in danger of being shut down or being redeveloped.
The Barleycorn Inn offers five boutique rooms, each en-suite, and furnished to a high standard, all located in the refurbished Coach House at the rear of the Inn. All rooms are available for single or double occupancy and are suitable for business guests or people on holiday in this beautiful part of the country.
We host a variety of events throughout the year, including live music, trivia nights, and holiday parties. Be sure to check our calendar regularly for upcoming events and specials. We also offer daily happy hour specials and discounts for members of our loyalty programme.

At Barleycorn Inn, we believe in providing our customers with more than just good food and drinks. We believe in creating a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and at home. We strive to provide exceptional service and make every visit a memorable one.
Our menu features a variety of pub classics with a modern twist. We use only the freshest, locally sourced ingredients and offer a variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options. Our bar features a rotating selection of craft beers and a carefully curated wine list.
We are proud to be a part of the community and believe in giving back. We regularly host fundraising events and donate a portion of our profits to local charities and organizations. We also offer discounts to first responders and military personnel as a way of saying thank you for their service.
Tom & Terry are looking for an exceptional person, hopefully a local, to join our kitchen team as a part time Sous Chef.
Successful applicants must be fully documented, and have a minimum of Level 2 Food Safety certification and willing to work evenings and weekends in a sometimes busy environment. You will have responsibility for Daily Checks, opening and closing the kitchen when the Head Chef is absent.
Our new team member must be a real team player, with good interpersonal skills and a great sense of humour.
Remuneration will be calculated based on qualifications and experience. A full kitchen trial will be required as part of the interview process.
